Videos to Virtually Visit
Indigenous Communities in Canada
Would you like to see what life is like in Indigenous communities in Canada?
Here is a list of videos (mostly from YouTube) you can watch to virtually visit them!
I got inspired to compile these from seeing "First Contact" on APTN (https://www.aptntv.ca/firstcontact). In the series they visit Indigenous communities in Canada, and I thought, wouldn't it be neat to be able to visit more in Canada?
I drew some inspiration from Johnny Harris's CBC show "Still Standing" where he visits small towns in Canada and showcases them (including some Indigenous communities! Give it a watch! https://www.cbc.ca/television/stillstanding).
I took videos already available online and put them here for you to watch!
I have thought of travelling to the Indigenous communities in Canada and making my own videos similar to Johnny Harris on his show, and I may do that someday or inspire someone else to do it, but for now I am compiling existing videos for you to watch so you can get to know the communities and the people there!
I hope you enjoy them! I really enjoy watching them as I find them and put them on the website!
I have started with the Inuit communities and will continue to put more on as time goes on.
